DO YOU BELIEVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN AND MINORITIES ON BOARDS ARE EXPANDING?

According to the following Korn Ferry International study, opportunities for board participation are expanding for women and minorities. Perhaps this study reflects large companies only.

In the small cap-midcap world we travel in, we don't see as significant an increase. Do you?

We do see Boards very interested in looking at qualified women and minorities for Board positions. But our clients are not willing to lower the qualifications barriers for the sake of diversity. This presents a dilemma for Boards. Boards like to recruit CEOs of similar cap companies, but dissimilar industries.

And there are still few women and minorities heading mid cap companies. What do you think?
